The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) and the University of Wales, Swansea (Swansea University) are seeking undergraduate students from Oklahoma regional universities who have excellent academic qualifications, outstanding writing and communication skills, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership qualities, maturity and judgment for participation in an exciting student exchange program in Wales.  Participants will spend either a fall or spring academic term, the dates of which approximately coincide with U.S. fall and spring academic semesters, as students at Swansea University on its campus in Swansea, Wales. One ECU student will be selected for this program and will receive $10,000 for tuition and travel costs.  If interested, download the application, fill it out and return it to: MARK HOLLINGSWORTH, 140 FAUST HALL by FEBRUARY 22, 2012.

In order for East Central University students to compete successfully in today's multicultural world, an understanding of different ethnic groups and their cultures, philosophies, and traditions is essential.  The East Central Global Education program provides students with first-hand multicultural experiences that enrich their education by
  • actively recruiting international students from around the world to attend ECU;

  • providing Study Abroad trip opportunites;

  • providing opportunities to travel and study internationally through an exchange program with our sister institutions

    • Kiev National University of Linguistics
    • State University of Moscow

  • providing an exchange program with the University of Extremadura, Spain

  • providing opportunities for international study with the National Student Exchange Program; and

  • assisting students in obtaining international study abroad scholarships through the Brad Henry International Scholar program.
