ECU'S SPRING DANCE CONCERT SET THURSDAY, FRIDAY

Collage, East Central University's dance ensemble, and students in ECU's dance program will present a spring concert Thursday and Friday [APRIL 24-25] in the Dorothy Summers Theatre. Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and are open to the public at no charge.

Collage will perform "The Way Within," the piece the ensemble performed as a winner of a National Choreography Award at the National Conference of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance in Fort Worth and at the American College Dance Festival in Nacogdoches, Texas.

"The Way Within" was choreographed by for Collage by Jon Lehrer, a former dancer, resident choreographer and associate director of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago who began his own dance company, Lehrerdance, last year.

The concert also will include the senior project of student choreographer Michelle McGee of Ardmore and performances by spring dance classes and dance minors under the direction of Dr. Victoria Dansby, associate professor of communication.
