LOCAL BUSINESSES ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN ECU WELCOME WEEK

Local businesses are welcome to participate in East Central University's Howdy Fair on Monday [AUG. 18], the first day of fall semester classes. Businesses will have an opportunity to acquaint students with their services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the University Center lawn.

The Howdy Fair is part of ECU's Welcome Week from Monday through Aug. 22 [FRIDAY]. In past years the businesses have provided "welcome goodies" for students.

"The Howdy Fair provides a great opportunity for the students to become acquainted with the community and the services available to them. It helps to make them feel more at home," said Kathy Johnson, director of campus life and leadership.

No RSVP is necessary for interested businesses. Tables and chairs will be available and set-up begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information, contact the Campus Life and Leadership Office at 580-559-5231.
