ECU SYMPHONIC BAND, WIND ENSEMBLE PERFORMING TONIGHT 

The East Central University Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. tonight [Tuesday March 9] in the Dorothy Summers Theatre. The concert is free to the public.

On the program for the Symphonic Band is Alfred Reed's "The Hounds of Spring," Aaron Copland's "The Promise of Living" and John Philip Sousa's "The Royal Welch Fusiliers."

The Wind Ensemble will perform "Full Tilt!" by Richard L. Saucedo, "The Sussex Mummers' Christmas Carol" by Percy Aldridge Grainger, selections from "First Suite in E flat for Military Band" by Gustav Holst and another Sousa march, "The Free Lance March."

ECU Band Director Allen Correll will conduct both groups. The Wind Ensemble is the premiere performing ensemble for winds and percussion.
