Members of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at East Central University in Ada pin a pink ribbon, the symbol of breast cancer awareness, on Kathy Johnson, ECU’s director of campus life and leadership. The sorority will sponsor its Pink Out event Saturday [OCT. 27] at the ECU vs Texas A&M-Commerce football game at Norris Field. Tickets will be half price for everyone who wears something pink. Zeta members are Ashley Clinesmith of Weleetka (from left), Connie McClennen and Dare Chronister of Ardmore, Sonni Grant of Shawnee, Jordan Ledbetter of Durant, and Kendra Kersey and Sarah High of Norman. Johnson is walking this weekend in the 2007 Breast Cancer 3-Day in Dallas, an annual walk to raise awareness of breast cancer.

WEAR PINK TO ECU FOOTBALL GAME SATURDAY FOR HALF-PRICE TICKETS

Members of East Central University's chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha are encouraging everyone to wear pink, or something pink, to the ECU-Texas A&M-Commerce football game Saturday [OCT. 27] at Norris Field.

Tickets to the game will be half price for anyone wearing pink.

The Pink Out event is part of the Zetas' philanthropy, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Zeta Tau Alpha members also will sell t-shirts that will benefit the foundation and hand out pink ribbons and shower cards. They also are working with Martin's Jewelry to give away pink ribbon jewelry at the game.
