FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER AVAILABLE AT JOHNSTON COUNTY LIBRARY

A new Family Education Center is now available at the Johnston County Library in Tishomingo to help parents and guardians of young children improve their skills as caregivers and teachers.

The center is a collection of books, CDs and DVDs containing up-to-date information on current trends and relevant issues relating to parenting education, child health and nutrition, and child development.

Such titles as "Brain Building Games Your Baby Will Love," "What Should I feed My Kids?" and "Keeping Cool When Parenting Heats Up" are a few of the resources offered in the center which is provided by Smart Start South Central, an early childhood initiative based out of East Central University in Ada.
